Filed under: Uncategorized — Learning with Lucie @ 9:08 am

Thanks to Allison Mollica for inviting me to the 2012 Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference to share my tips for using Google App Script.  In this session

Google Forms & Scripts – Take It To The Next Level

Google Forms are a popular App! Did you know you can also create a "mail merge" and self correcting quizzes? Come and learn how simple scripts can take you to a whole new level using Google Apps for Edu. Designed as a BYOD interactive session for those with a foundation knowledge of using Google Apps (Forms, Spreadsheets and Docs), walk through the process of adding Autocrat and creating a simple mail merge and adding Flubaroo to create a self correcting quiz. These scripts are great for teachers, tech leaders, school administrators, and secretaries. If time permits, additional scripts will be shared.

Connecting Voices with VoiceThread

Lucie deLaBruere

VoiceThread is a powerful tool that allows the power of multimedia to be part of a digital age conversation.  Come see real student examples from the 10,000 Vermont students who currently have VoiceThread accounts ranging from e-portfolios to kindergarten students collaborating with schools across the country.  You will see examples of adults using VoiceThread as professional development.

Come prepared to create your own VoiceThread using text, audio, and video as artifacts or comments.  Topics will include creating VoiceThreads, managing comments, collaborating with others using VoiceThread, VoiceThread on a iPod/iPad, and the school-wide management console.  Although the VoiceThread iPhone App does brings "mobile" to the VoiceThread creation process – this workshop will include features not currently available via the mobile app – so please bring a laptop.
